වෙසාලියට ආසන්නව පිහිටා ඇතැයි සිතන ස්ථානයකි; එහි වඳුරන් හා මිනිසුන් නර්තනය කළ බැවින් එම නම ලැබූ බව කියැවේ; උපාලි තෙරුන්ගේ ගුරුවරයා වූ කප්පිතක ස්ථවිරයන් වහන්සේ වරක් වාසය කළ ස්ථානයයි.
