ナーランダーで説かれた経で、仏は改宗者を得るための奇跡の許可を求める居士の願いを拒み、代わりに天界をむなしく巡って四大の消える場所を探した比丘の譬えを語り、結局その答えは仏自身から学ぶほかなかったと説く。

A discourse at Nāḷandā in which the Buddha refuses a householder’s request to authorize a miracle to win converts, instead relating the parable of a monk who searches the heavens in vain for where the elements cease, only to learn the answer from the Buddha himself.
