නාළන්දාවේ දේශනා කරන ලද සූත්‍රයක් වන අතර, බුදුන් ගිහියෙකුගේ ආගමට හරවා ගැනීම සඳහා ප්‍රාතිහාර්යයක් අවසර දෙන ලෙස කළ ඉල්ලීම ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කර, ඒ වෙනුවට මහාභූත ධාතූන් නවතින තැන සොයමින් නිෂ්ඵලව දෙව්ලොවවල් සිසාරා ගිය භික්ෂුවක්ගේ උපමාව කියා දෙන අතර, ඔහුට පිළිතුර සොයාගැනීමට සිදුවූයේ බුදුන්ගෙන්ම ය.

A discourse at Nāḷandā in which the Buddha refuses a householder’s request to authorize a miracle to win converts, instead relating the parable of a monk who searches the heavens in vain for where the elements cease, only to learn the answer from the Buddha himself.
