佛陀在那爛陀對居士堅固所說的一部經，拒絕其請求以神通取信於人，轉而講述一位比丘遍尋諸天亦無法得知四大滅盡之處、終須求教於佛陀本人的譬喻。

A discourse at Nāḷandā in which the Buddha refuses a householder’s request to authorize a miracle to win converts, instead relating the parable of a monk who searches the heavens in vain for where the elements cease, only to learn the answer from the Buddha himself.
