Khāṇu-Koṇḍañña
Person森で阿羅漢果を得た長老で、瞑想に没入している間、盗賊の一団に切り株と間違えられ、盗品を彼の上に積み上げられたことから、カーヌ(「切り株」)の名を得た。
A thera who attained Arahantship in the forest and, while absorbed in meditation, was mistaken for a tree stump by a gang of thieves who piled their loot on him, earning him the name Khāṇu (‘stump’).
