  • A Jātaka about a forester, the Bodhisatta, leader of five hundred guides, who alone stood his ground and drove off robbers attacking a caravan while his companions fled, explaining that one who would do heroic deeds must hold life lightly — told with reference to a monk who had lost energy in his duties.
