Kimbilā
Place仏陀が滞在し説法したガンジス川岸の町で、後にその名で呼ばれるようになった富豪の息子の生誕地でもある。
A town on the banks of the Gaṅgā where the Buddha stayed and taught, and the birthplace of the millionaire’s son after whom it was later associated by name.
Kapilavatthu の釈迦族貴族で、Anupiyā で改宗して阿羅漢果を得た。親友であるアヌルッダ、Nandiya とともに Cūḷagosiṅga Sutta の教説に登場する。
A Sakyan noble of Kapilavatthu converted at Anupiyā who became an arahant and, together with his close companions Anuruddha and Nandiya, is remembered in the teaching of the Cūḷagosiṅga Sutta.
Kimbilā の富豪の息子で後に比丘となり、カピラヴァットゥ出身の同名の長老とは別人。
