ကုသိနာရာမြို့တွင် ဟောကြားသည့် သုတ်တစ်ပုဒ်ဖြစ်ပြီး၊ ဗုဒ္ဓသည် ရဟန်းများအား သတိပဋ္ဌာန်ကဲ့သို့သော အထက်တရားများကို လေ့ကျင့်ရန် တိုက်တွန်းပြီး၊ တရားတော်၏ အနက်အဓိပ္ပါယ်နှင့် စကားလုံးများနှင့် ပတ်သက်၍ ငြင်းခုံမှုများကို ကိုင်တွယ်ဖြေရှင်းရန် စည်းမျဉ်းများကို ချမှတ်ခဲ့သည်၊ ၎င်း၏ အမည်ကို ဗုဒ္ဓ၏ အစပိုင်း စကားလုံးများမှ ရယူထားသည်

A sutta taught at Kusinārā in which the Buddha urges the monks to train in the higher teachings such as the foundations of mindfulness and lays down rules for handling disputes over the meaning and wording of the doctrine, taking its name from the Buddha’s opening words.
