  • King of Bārāṇasī whose son, prophesied to die from lack of water, perished in flames after desecrating a Pacceka Buddha’s bowl when all nearby water dried up, an event that led the grieving king to renounce attachment; he is identified with Chattapāṇi of the Dhammaddhaja Jātaka.
