ရေမရှိ၍ သေဆုံးရမည်ဟု ကြိုတင်ဟောကြားခံရသော သားတော်ရှိသည့် ဗာရာဏသီ ဘုရင်တစ်ပါးဖြစ်ပြီး၊ နီးစပ်ရာ ရေအားလုံး ခန်းခြောက်သွားချိန်တွင် ပစ္စေကဗုဒ္ဓါ၏ သပိတ်ကို လွန်ကျူးမိသောကြောင့် မီးလောင်၍ သေဆုံးခဲ့သည်၊ ဤအဖြစ်အပျက်သည် ဝမ်းနည်းလှစွာသော ဘုရင်ကို စွဲလန်းမှုကို စွန့်လွှတ်စေခဲ့ပြီး၊ ဓမ္မဒ္ဓဇဇာတ်ပါ ဆတ္တပါဏိ ၏ ရှေးဘဝပင် ဖြစ်သည်

King of Bārāṇasī whose son, prophesied to die from lack of water, perished in flames after desecrating a Pacceka Buddha’s bowl when all nearby water dried up, an event that led the grieving king to renounce attachment; he is identified with Chattapāṇi of the Dhammaddhaja Jātaka.
