พระราชาแห่งเมืองพาราณสีผู้มีพระโอรสถูกทำนายว่าจะสิ้นพระชนม์เพราะขาดน้ำ ต้องมอดไหม้ในกองเพลิงหลังจากทรงลบหลู่บาตรของพระปัจเจกพุทธเจ้าเมื่อน้ำโดยรอบเหือดแห้งไปหมด เหตุการณ์นี้ทำให้พระราชาผู้โศกเศร้าทรงสละความยึดติด และทรงคือฉัตตปาณิในทัมมัทธชาดก

King of Bārāṇasī whose son, prophesied to die from lack of water, perished in flames after desecrating a Pacceka Buddha’s bowl when all nearby water dried up, an event that led the grieving king to renounce attachment; he is identified with Chattapāṇi of the Dhammaddhaja Jātaka.
