답풀라 2세의 조카로 왕의 딸 데바와 결혼했으며, 역시 답풀라라는 이름의 자기 형을 왕으로 남겨둔 채 로하나로 가서 그곳을 평정하고 스스로 왕이 되어 아들 넷과 딸 셋을 두었다.

A nephew of Dappula II who married the king’s daughter Devā, left his own brother, also named Dappula, ruling as king, went to Rohaṇa, subdued it, and became king there himself, fathering four sons and three daughters.

마힌다의 아들인 왕자로, 세나 2세와 킷티의 부왕을 지냈으나 우다야 2세에게 반란을 일으켜 로하나로 도망쳐 그 지역 통치자를 죽였고, 장군 바지랏가의 도움으로 붙잡혔으며, 구타살라에서 그 장군에게 살해된 것으로 보인다.

A prince and son of Mahinda, viceroy to Sena II and Kitti, who rebelled against Udaya II, fled to Rohaṇa, killed its ruler, was captured with the help of the general Vajiragga, and was probably killed by him at Guttasāla.
