自分の鋤にちなんで呼ばれた庭師が、鋤を川に投げ込むことでついに世俗への執着を断ち、その後、王をはじめ多くの人々が彼に従って出家したというジャータカ。

A Jātaka about a gardener nicknamed after his spade, who finally overcame his attachment to worldly life by throwing the spade into a river, after which the king and many others followed him into the ascetic life.
