訪れた四人の辟支仏に感化されたバーラーナシー（Bārāṇasī）の陶工が、欺瞞的な妻が先に去った後に出家したという話で、後に羅睺羅（Rāhula）、ウッパラヴァンナー（Uppalavaṇṇā）、羅睺羅の母の前世であったと特定されたジャータカ。

A Jātaka about a potter of Bārāṇasī who, inspired by four visiting Pacceka Buddhas, renounced the world after his deceitful wife left first, later identified as the past lives of Rāhula, Uppalavaṇṇā, and Rāhula’s mother.
