A Jātaka about the Bodhisatta as king of the Kurū at Indapatta, whose entire household and officials rigorously observed the five precepts, so that when a drought-stricken neighbouring kingdom investigated the source of the Kurū’s prosperity, it was traced to this shared virtue.
