ชาดกเรื่องพระโพธิสัตว์ผู้เป็นกษัตริย์แคว้นกุรุที่อินทปัตถ์ ผู้ที่ราชสำนักและข้าราชบริพารทั้งหมดถือศีลห้าอย่างเคร่งครัด จนเมื่อแคว้นเพื่อนบ้านประสบภัยแล้งได้สืบค้นถึงต้นเหตุแห่งความเจริญของแคว้นกุรุ พบว่ามาจากคุณธรรมร่วมกันนี้

A Jātaka about the Bodhisatta as king of the Kurū at Indapatta, whose entire household and officials rigorously observed the five precepts, so that when a drought-stricken neighbouring kingdom investigated the source of the Kurū’s prosperity, it was traced to this shared virtue.
