ป่าทางตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ของกรุงราชคฤห์ อันเป็นที่ตั้งของศาลสุปปติฏฐะ ซึ่งพระพุทธเจ้าเคยประทับเมื่อเสด็จเยือนเมืองนี้เป็นครั้งแรกหลังตรัสรู้ และพระเจ้าพิมพิสารพร้อมบริวารจำนวนมากเสด็จมาถวายความเคารพ ก่อนจะทรงถวายพระเวฬุวันแด่คณะสงฆ์ในเวลาต่อมา

A grove southwest of Rājagaha containing the Suppatiṭṭha shrine, where the Buddha stayed on his first visit to the city after his Enlightenment and where King Bimbisāra, with a great following, came to pay homage and later donated the Bamboo Grove to the Order.
