아누라다푸라에 있는 9층 건물로, 구리판으로 지붕을 이었으며 마하비하라의 포살당으로 사용되었고, 데바남피야팃사 왕 치세에 작은 구조물로 시작한 후 두타가마니 왕에 의해 대규모로 재건되었다.

A nine-storey building at Anurādhapura, roofed with copper plates and used as the uposatha hall of the Mahāvihāra, rebuilt on a grand scale by King Duṭṭhagāmaṇī after starting as a small structure under Devānampiyatissa.
