Person꾸루국의 바라문으로, 아름다운 딸 마간디야를 부처님과의 혼인을 위해 바쳤으나 거절당했고, 결국 부모 모두 불환자가 되었다.
A brahmin of the Kuru country whose beautiful daughter Māgaṇḍiyā he offered in marriage to the Buddha, only to have the offer declined and both parents become Non-returners.
