洛诃波萨陀经吉祗多帝须重建为七层楼阁并奉献珍贵宝石后所改称之名，后遭注辇人焚毁，最终由摩醯陀四世重建完成。

The name given to the Lohapāsāda after Jeṭṭhatissa rebuilt it in seven storeys and offered it a costly jewel, later burnt down by the Coḷas and eventually restored by Mahinda IV.
