Maccha Jātaka
Jātaka漁師の網にかかった魚が、逃げた妻が感じる悲しみのためだけに嘆く本生話で、かつての恋人への思慕に苦しむ比丘に語られた。
A birth-story about a fish caught in a fisherman’s net who laments only for the grief his escaped wife will feel, told to a monk tormented by longing for a former lover.

Jātaka菩薩が魚として生まれ、干ばつを終わらせるよう雨神パッジュンナに祈る本生話で、後に仏陀がアーナンダと帝釈天を通じて終わらせた実際の干ばつと呼応する。
A birth-story in which the Bodhisatta, born as a fish, prays to the rain-god Pajjunna to end a drought, paralleling a real drought the Buddha later ended through Ānanda and Sakka.
