カッラータナーガとアヌラーデーヴィーの息子で、ヴァッタガーマニ王の養子となり、後にスリランカ王として王位を継承した。十四年間統治し、かつては変装して教団への布施金を稼ぐため労働したことがある。

A son of Khallāṭanāga and Anulādevī who was adopted by King Vaṭṭagāmaṇī and later succeeded him as king of Sri Lanka, ruling for fourteen years and once laboring incognito to earn alms-money for the Order.
