卡拉塔納伽與阿奴拉提維之子，被瓦特伽摩尼王收為養子，後繼位為斯里蘭卡國王，在位十四年，曾隱姓埋名勞作以所得工資供養僧團。

A son of Khallāṭanāga and Anulādevī who was adopted by King Vaṭṭagāmaṇī and later succeeded him as king of Sri Lanka, ruling for fourteen years and once laboring incognito to earn alms-money for the Order.
