테람밧탈라의 장로. 중병에 걸렸을 때 큰 신통력을 지닌 삼만 명의 비구들이 간호하였고 용왕이 문병을 왔다. 붓다락키타 장로는 공격해오는 가루다 왕으로부터 이 용왕을 지키기 위해 산을 만들어 용과 장로가 그 안으로 들어가게 하였다.

An elder of Therambatthala who, when gravely ill, was ministered to by thirty thousand monks of great power and visited by the king of the Nāgas, whom the elder Buddharakkhita protected from an attacking Garuḍa king by conjuring a mountain for the Nāga and the elder to enter.
