කපිලවස්තුවේ දේශනා කරන ලද සූත්‍රයක් වන අතර, බුදුන් ආනන්ද හිමියන්ට ධ්‍යාන සතරෙන් හුදකලාවේ හා අභ්‍යන්තර ඒකාග්‍රතාවේ වටිනාකම පිළිබඳ අවවාද කරන අතර, ශ්‍රාවකයෙකු ධර්මය තේරුම් ගැනීමට පමණක් නොව විරාගය හා නිර්වාණය වෙත ගෙන යන වචන ඇසීමට ගුරුවරයා අනුගමනය කළ යුතු බව උගන්වයි.
