森で道に迷い、願いを叶える榕樹から食物・水・娘・財宝を得たが、貪欲になって木を伐ろうとし、指導者を除いて木に住む龍王に皆殺しにされた商人たちの本生話で、節度によって同じ運命を免れた商人の一団について語られた。

A birth story of merchants lost in a forest who received food, water, girls and treasure from a wishing banyan tree but, growing greedy, tried to fell it and were slain by its resident naga king save for their leader, told about a group of merchants who avoided the same fate through moderation.
