숲에서 길을 잃고 소원 성취 반얀나무에서 음식, 물, 처녀, 보물을 받았으나 탐욕이 생겨 나무를 베려다가 지도자를 제외하고 그 안에 사는 나가 왕에게 몰살당한 상인들의 본생담으로, 절제를 통해 같은 운명을 피한 상인 무리에 관해 설해졌다.

A birth story of merchants lost in a forest who received food, water, girls and treasure from a wishing banyan tree but, growing greedy, tried to fell it and were slain by its resident naga king save for their leader, told about a group of merchants who avoided the same fate through moderation.
