本生故事，讲一群迷途商人从一株如意榕树获得食物、水、女子与财宝，却因贪念欲将其连根砍倒，遭树中龙王尽杀，唯首领得免；此事为一群因知足而幸免于难的商人而说。

A birth story of merchants lost in a forest who received food, water, girls and treasure from a wishing banyan tree but, growing greedy, tried to fell it and were slain by its resident naga king save for their leader, told about a group of merchants who avoided the same fate through moderation.
