本生故事，講一群迷途商人從一株如意榕樹獲得食物、水、女子與財寶，卻因貪念欲將其連根砍倒，遭樹中龍王盡殺，唯首領得免；此事為一群因知足而倖免於難的商人而說。

A birth story of merchants lost in a forest who received food, water, girls and treasure from a wishing banyan tree but, growing greedy, tried to fell it and were slain by its resident naga king save for their leader, told about a group of merchants who avoided the same fate through moderation.
