しばらく仏陀の個人的な侍者を務めたサキャ族の比丘で、マンゴー林で独り瞑想することを主張したが悪しき考えに圧倒され、その後戻って解脱の五条件についての仏陀の教えにより阿羅漢となった。

A Sakyan monk who served for a time as the Buddha’s personal attendant; after insisting on meditating alone in a mango grove and being overwhelmed by evil thoughts, he returned and attained Arahantship through the Buddha’s teaching on the five conditions for liberation.
