雄羊のような頭のためあだ名がついたサーケータの阿羅漢長老で、アンジャナヴァナで仏陀の説法を聞いて教団に入り、過去世ではヴィパッシー仏の時代にゴータマ山近くの隠者として蓮の花を捧げた。
