A discourse in which Ānanda relays to the Buddha the laywoman Migasālā’s puzzlement over why both a celibate and a non-celibate disciple attained the same rebirth in Tusita, prompting the Buddha to explain that only a Tathāgata can truly measure the diversity of persons’ spiritual attainments.
