アラサンダーのカラシで生まれたサーガラの王で、『ミリンダ王問経』に記録されたナーガセーナ長老との対話が彼の仏教への改宗を描いている。バクトリアの王メナンドロスと同一視される。

A king of Sāgala, born in Kalasi in Alasandā, whose recorded dialogues with the elder Nāgasena in the Milindapañha describe his conversion to Buddhism; he is identified with the Bactrian king Menander.
