비구니 무리와 가까운 비구로, 그의 행실이 부처님으로 하여금 까까쭈빠마경을 설하게 한 계기가 되었으며, 후에 식(識)의 자양분에 관해 부처님과 논의한 뒤 환속했다고 전해진다

A monk close to the nuns’ community whose conduct prompted the Buddha to teach the Kakacūpama Sutta, and who later discussed the nutriment of consciousness with the Buddha before reportedly returning to lay life.
