අශෝක රජුගේ වැඩිමහල් සමකාලීනයෙකු වූ, පණ්ඩුකාභය සහ සුවණ්ණපාලීගේ පුත්‍රයා වූ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ රජෙකි; වසර හැටක් පාලනය කර මහාමේඝවනය සැලසුම් කළේය. ඔහුගේ පුත් දේවානම්පියතිස්ස විසින් උරුම කර ගන්නා ලදී.

A king of Sri Lanka and senior contemporary of Asoka, son of Paṇḍukābhaya and Suvaṇṇapālī, who reigned for sixty years and laid out the Mahāmeghavana, and was succeeded by his son Devānampiyatissa.
