ဗုဒ္ဓါး၏ ကိုယ်ရံတော်ဖြစ်ကာ ကာလတစ်ခု ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ဖူးသော သကျလူမျိုး၊ လမ်းကြောင်း ရွေးချယ်ရေးတွင် သဘောကွဲလွဲမှုကြောင့် ဗုဒ္ဓါး၏ သပိတ်နှင့် သင်္ကန်းကို စွန့်ပစ်ကာ ခိုးဆိုးများ၏ တိုက်ခိုက်ခံရပြီးနောက်၊ ကချေသီရ တစ်ဦး၏ ခေတ္တခဏသာ ရှိသည့် လှပမှုကို ဆင်ခြင်ခြင်းဖြင့် ရဟန္တာဖြစ်ခဲ့သည်။

A Sakyan who served for a time as the Buddha’s personal attendant and, after once abandoning the Buddha’s bowl and robe in a dispute over which road to take and being waylaid by brigands, later attained Arahantship upon contemplating a dancing girl’s fleeting beauty.

ရှေ့မှ နာဂသမာလနှင့် ခြားနားသည်ဟု အပဒါန်ကျမ်းတွင် ဖော်ပြထားသည့် ရဟန္တာတစ်ပါး၊ ရှေးဘဝတွင် သိခီဗုဒ္ဓါး၏ စေတီတော်၌ ပန်းပူဇော်ခဲ့ဖူးသည်ဟု ဆိုပြီး၊ အဋ္ဌကထာအရ သူသည်လည်း ဗုဒ္ဓါး၏ ကိုယ်ရံတော်အဖြစ် ကာလတစ်ခု ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ဖူးသည်။

An Arahant distinguished in the Apadāna from the preceding Nāgasamāla, said to have offered a flower at Sikhī Buddha’s shrine in a past life and, according to the commentary, to have served for a time as the Buddha’s personal attendant.
