A Sakyan who served for a time as the Buddha’s personal attendant and, after once abandoning the Buddha’s bowl and robe in a dispute over which road to take and being waylaid by brigands, later attained Arahantship upon contemplating a dancing girl’s fleeting beauty.

พระอรหันต์ที่คัมภีร์อปทานแยกความแตกต่างจากพระนาคสมาละองค์ก่อน กล่าวว่าเคยถวายดอกไม้ที่พระเจดีย์ของพระสิขีพุทธเจ้าในชาติก่อน และตามอรรถกถากล่าวว่าเคยรับใช้เป็นพุทธอุปัฏฐากส่วนพระองค์ชั่วขณะหนึ่งด้วยเช่นกัน

An Arahant distinguished in the Apadāna from the preceding Nāgasamāla, said to have offered a flower at Sikhī Buddha’s shrine in a past life and, according to the commentary, to have served for a time as the Buddha’s personal attendant.
