ミリンダ王との哲学的対話で名高い阿羅漢。バラモン、ソーヌッタラの子で、ローハナのもとで出家し、アッサグッタとダンマラッキタに師事した。過去世で王を論破する誓願を立てていたため、ついにサーガラで王に出会った。
