သာဝတ္ထိ အနီး စျေးမြို့ငယ် ၏ မထေရ်တစ်ပါး၊ ရောင့်ရဲခြင်းနှင့် စင်ကြယ်ခြင်း ဖြင့် ကျော်ကြားပြီး၊ မိမိ ဆွေမျိုး တို့ ထံမှသာ ဆွမ်းခံခဲ့သည်၊ ဤအကြောင်းကို မြတ်စွာဘုရား ထံ လျှောက်ထားသောအခါ ဘုရားရှင် သည် သဘောတူပြီး ချီးမွမ်းခဲ့ကာ ၎င်း၏ ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာများသည် ဘုရားရှင် ကိုယ်တိုင် နှင့် ရင်းနှီးမှုကြောင့် ဖြစ်သည်ဟု မိန့်ကြားခဲ့သည်

An elder of a market town near Sāvatthi, reputed for contentment and purity, who went for alms only among his own relatives; when this was reported to the Buddha, he approved and praised him, attributing his virtues to association with the Buddha himself.
