Vaṅgīsa 的戒師，兩人同住於 Aggāḷava 塔寺，因在一棵榕樹下證得阿羅漢果而得此名，去世後佛陀宣告他已徹底解脫，打消了 Vaṅgīsa 對其證量的疑慮。

The preceptor of Vaṅgīsa, who together with him dwelt at Aggāḷava-cetiya, attained Arahantship at the foot of a banyan tree, and after his death was declared by the Buddha to have completely passed away, resolving Vaṅgīsa’s doubts about his attainment.
