一则本生故事，讲述懒散轻蔑一切的王子 Pādañjali 因此失去继承王位的资格，转由身为国师的菩萨即位，用以映射比丘 Lāḷudāyī 在两位上首弟子受赞时嗤之以鼻之事，Lāḷudāyī 即对应此王子。

A Jātaka about an idle and sneering prince, Pādañjali, whose contempt for everything disqualifies him from the throne in favor of the Bodhisatta, the royal chaplain, told of the monk Lāḷudāyī, who sneered when the two chief disciples were praised and is identified with the prince.
