  • A Jātaka about a forest ascetic who, finding no one home when he seeks alms at a devout merchant’s house, quietly departs rather than wait, prompting the returning merchant to apologize and invite him back, told about a newly ordained monk who visited at the wrong hours and angrily blamed his lay supporters when he found no food left.
