一则本生故事，讲一位林中苦行者到一户以虔诚闻名的商人家中乞食，见家中无人便悄然离去而不等候，商人归来后连忙道歉并邀他再访，此事讲给一位新出家的比丘听，他打听到哪些在家人乐善好施后，却因造访时机不当、屡屡扑空而迁怒责骂那些施主人家。

A Jātaka about a forest ascetic who, finding no one home when he seeks alms at a devout merchant’s house, quietly departs rather than wait, prompting the returning merchant to apologize and invite him back, told about a newly ordained monk who visited at the wrong hours and angrily blamed his lay supporters when he found no food left.
