五比丘——Aññāta-Koṇḍañña、Bhaddiya、Vappa、Mahānāma 与 Assaji——曾与菩萨一同苦行,在他放弃苦行时离去,后在仙人堕处听闻其初转法轮,成为最早的弟子。
The group of five ascetics — Aññāta-Koṇḍañña, Bhaddiya, Vappa, Mahānāma, and Assaji — who practised austerities alongside the Bodhisatta, left him when he abandoned that path, but became his first disciples after hearing his first discourse at Isipatana.
