一部經,佛陀在憍賞彌見一段浮木順流而下,以浮木若不擱淺、不沉沒、不腐爛、不被截留即能漂抵大海,比喻比丘若能避開種種險阻便能一路趣向涅槃,牧牛人 Nanda 聞法後隨即出家。
A discourse in which the Buddha, seeing a log float down the river at Kosambī, compares a monk’s unhindered progress to nibbāna with a log that avoids grounding, sinking, rotting, or being seized along its way to the ocean, at the end of which the cowherd Nanda joins the Order.
