พระภิกษุผู้เดินทางไปเจริญกรรมฐานในป่าพร้อมกับภิกษุอื่นอีกห้าร้อยรูป และได้ตักเตือนให้ผู้อื่นเพียรพยายาม แต่ตนเองกลับนอนหลับตลอดคืน เมื่อความหลอกลวงของท่านถูกเปิดเผย พระอาจารย์จึงเล่าอกาลราวิกุกกุฏชาดก โดยระบุว่าท่านคือไก่ในเรื่องนั้น

A monk who, having gone to meditate in the forest with five hundred others and urged them to be diligent, himself spent the night asleep; when his deceit was discovered, the teacher told the Akālarāvi Kukkuṭa Jātaka, identifying him with the cock of that story.
