一位僧人，与五百人同赴林间禅修，嘱咐众人精进用功，自己却整夜酣睡；同伴发觉他的欺瞒后向老师告发，老师便讲述《非时啼鸡本生》，将他比作故事中的公鸡。

A monk who, having gone to meditate in the forest with five hundred others and urged them to be diligent, himself spent the night asleep; when his deceit was discovered, the teacher told the Akālarāvi Kukkuṭa Jātaka, identifying him with the cock of that story.
