एक जातक जिसमें सुनहरे हंस के रूप में जन्मे बोधिसत्व अपने वृक्ष-देवता मित्र को चेतावनी देते हैं कि बरगद के अंकुर को उखाड़ फेंके इससे पहले कि वह उसके वृक्ष को नष्ट कर दे, यह दर्शाते हुए कि छोटी त्रुटियों को भी शीघ्र उखाड़ फेंकना चाहिए।
