රන් හංසයෙකු ලෙස උපන් බෝධිසත්වයා තම මිතුරු ගස් දේවතාවාට තම ගස විනාශ කිරීමට පෙර මුවවා පැළයක් උදුරා දැමීමට අනතුරු අඟවන ජාතක කථාවක් වන අතර, කුඩා දෝෂ පවා මුල් සිටම උදුරා දැමිය යුතු බව මෙයින් පෙන්වා දේ
