අවශ්‍ය අවස්ථාවක බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ අනුගාමිකයන් විසින් ආරාධනා කළ යුතු ප්‍රධාන යක්ෂයන් අතුරින් කෙනෙකි; මහාසමය සූත්‍ර දේශනාවේ දී ද පැමිණ සිටි බව සඳහන් වේ. බුද්ධඝෝෂ ට අනුව ඔහු ගාන්ධර්වයෙකි.

One of the chief yakkhas to be invoked by the Buddha’s followers in time of need, also mentioned as present at the teaching of the Mahāsamaya Sutta; Buddhaghosa says he was a Gandhabba.
